U.S. Army NATO Brigade and NFIU Romania, continuous cooperation for the success of the Alliance
Bucharest, Romania. Colonel Jason G. Riley and Sergeant Major Ira L. Russey, the U.S. Army NATO Brigade Commander and Command NCO, had an office call at NFIU Romania Headquarters. During the meeting, the Commanders of the two structures, NFIU ROU and USANATO Brigade discussed about the American military personnel that man positions within NFIU, as well as possible collaboration for the future multinational exercises taking place on Romanian territory. The USANATO Brigade is a US Army structure in Europe whose mission is to conduct individual Soldier and Family training, logistics, human resources, and service-specific support at USANATO locations in order to provide ready & resilient Soldiers to NATO, maintain their joint and multinational partnerships, and enhance the Alliance. Colonel Riley highlighted that Lieutenant General Ben Hodges, the US Army Europe Commander, acknowledges the importance of the NFIU structures and that, consequently, the USANATO Brigade will collaborate with and support NFIU ROU accordingly. USA Military personnel are part of the NFIU ROU multinational team consisting of 12 nationalities. They are experts in various fields and together they connect NATO and the Host Nation, Romania, to ensure troop mobility on national territory.
